Solid Ink Insert Printing

Thinking about working with us to print the inserts for your latest project? Well, here at Duperman we pride ourselves on the quality of our printed inserts and this is all down to our printer which uses Solid Ink.
Solid ink is a colour printing technology only offered by Xerox which uses solid blocks of no-mess, non-toxic ink instead of toner or inkjet cartridges. Solid ink is easy to use, produces incredible colour print quality, is cost-effective, and is very good for the environment. The ink is resin-based, similar to a crayon, so the blocks are safe to handle by anyone and don?t stain our clothes or skin when we do! Stringent manufacturing of the ink by Xerox ensure the colours will be consistent, (100% of all ink is inspected!) so your printed inserts come out perfect everytime!

Dual Layer discs

Just a note about dual layer discs….
Our price calculator is for single layer discs only. Contact us if you require pricing for dual layer. But be warned our experience so far is that they are no where near as compatible with existing DVD players as single layer recordable discs. This is an important consideration for many projects.
The need for dual layer is a question of balance. If you have filmed an event on DV then you should be able to compress 4 hrs to a single layer disc with good quality. Even a 3 hour VHS to dvd transfer will show no drop in quality.

If you are planning a mail out or promotional disc then the clam shell case is an ideal step up from the plastic wallet. Using a clear clamshell also means any face printing is clearly visible.
